Week 57 ......... Christmas number two!!!!!!!

Well the time has come. It's once again the Monday before Christmas and we are preparing to skype with our families, my last time in the mission, and to share lots of cookies with all our friends here in Ysapy.

We sang Christmas carols in the community center here in Capiata, and the program was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo beautiful. the director read the nativity story from the bible in between songs, and before our last song, Come all ye Faithful, he played the video on christmas.mormon.org and the we sang and it was sooooo beautiful. Then on Saturday we went to a local hospital and sang to the children and their families, and then talked to them a little bit. It was fun. At the end, our whole zone got together in the lobby, and started singing from there, so we started singing and one of the nurses came around and took us to the nativity scene, and then a bunch of nurses and people came and sang with us. It was really cool. and we could feel the spirit with these people. It was a very good experience.

This week were going to bake cookies, and give them out, and spend the evening on Christmas Eve with a part member family in our branch. It should be fun.

This Christmas, I want to invite all of you to remember why we have Christmas. It's not to celebrate winter, or give gifts, or to have parties or drink hot cocoa, or to hope Santa will come or any other typical traditions such as these. We have Christmas, because we have a savior Jesus Christ. who was born in Bethlehem 2000 years ago, and because he was born we have the hope of having an eternal life with our families and our father in heaven, even, God. I am so thankful for the simple yet loving gift of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. I know he lives, I know he came to earth, and I know he paid the price of our sins so that we can all repent and live again for eternity.

I invite you all to watch the above listed video, and ponder what it means, and ask God if you have a savior and if he is Jesus Christ. And then do something with that knowledge.

I love each one of you, and hope you all have a very wonderful Christmas.

Much love,

Hermana Quincie Minks

tambien queria decirles feliz navidad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Week 56

I can't wait for Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This week, we are preparing to sing in a Christmas choir again, (we sang last year too). Our zone is going to go visit a Children's hospital or something like that, and were gunna spend Christmas with a less active/nonmember/superactiveamazingrm family, it'll be fun.

I honestly don't know what else to say, it's been a pretty uneventful week, except that we helped the above named family prepare a wedding on Saturday.  We decorated the car, we made sopa paraguaya, we took pictures with the decorations with the super amazing RM. Her name is Andrea, and she's seriously AMAZING. She reminds me of Kahala haha.

It's also been super hot this week, so I've been carrying around an umbrella and a sweat rag. It's GROSSSSSSSSS.  I hate sweating.

Also, we found a huge beetle in our house, which we took pictures of and then smashed with the broom. It was great. And we just keep praying they give us ac soon, so we can sleep mosquito free.
And now I'm not sure what else to say haha-
solo que les amo, y les quiero. y que estoy orando por ustedes. y espero que tengan una semana muy linda. :]]

Week 55 .......

"Sister Minks, you have been called to the Paraguay Asuncion North Mission, with special assignments to stay in the Capiata stake for at least 10 and a half months."

Just kidding, my call letter doesn't say that, but that's what looks like is happening. So let's just have a little recap on my mission so far. Area number one... technically speaking was the Argentina MTC for 6 weeks, or 1.5months. Area two, Ward, Del Maestro, Stake, Capiata. in the which I was there for 3 months, and from there they sent me to Piro y, or other wise known as Capiata, the Stake center to be exact. and I was there, for 6 months. Then from there they sent me to Loma Pyta.... technically not in Capiata, no. and I was there 4.5 months. and now.... dun dun dun.... Hermana Minks returns to the lovely Stake of Capiata in the ward Ysapy!!!!!!!!!

So....... yea. in total, at least 10.5 months in the same Stake. Therefore my mission is now officially Paraguay Asuncion North, Capiata Mission.

Haha but its cool. I'm in a new area and it means I'll get to go see most of my families and converts while I'm here which is super lucky. and I'm glad I get to see all the people here, and meet a new branch in Ysapy.... it sounds like "eeeesapuuuuu" kinda. I'll teach you all how to say all these places someday.

And my companion is Hermana Dunagan. she's super cute and wonderful. She has the same amount of time in the mission as Hermana Argyle, and she is from California. and were having lots of fun out here. Our area is kinda out in the boonies. so we have to take a bus to get our food or go to email. It's crazy. It's my first area outside of the city, and it's weird. I feel so far away from everything. also, I miss being close to the office, it means packages and letters will take longer to get to me, and that we'll have to travel at least an hour and a half to get anything in Asuncion. but its all good. I'm off on another adventure in Paraguay.

And I'm really sorry I don't have new pictures, it's just that my memory card is full, and I can't take pictures, so when I can, I'll buy a new one and send pictures of all the mangoes were eating, and our pretty new house, and my comp and I and it'll be fun. but you have to be patient. So I can send you pictures. One day.

les quiero tanto!

week 54!...........turkey hunt...

Well well well, it's December first........
So, last week was sooooooooooo long, and also suuuuuuuuuuuper fast!
So I guess the craziest thing that happened to us this week is the weather, and the fact that when it gets over 95 degrees our ac stops working. so basically all week we've been melting, and then not sleeping, and then melting again. It's been fun, and then last night, there was a crazy thunder storm, and I swear I saw the lightning hit the street in front of our house, and then it was the loudest cracking sound right after, and it shook the whole house, it was terrifying. I don't like crazy storms, and more when I can't go hide in my comps bed for safety, and! it hit and the street lights turned off, and car alarms went off. It was crazy!
Also, we went a hunt for a turkey for Thanksgiving. and when we found one and saw how much it was, we just about died inside. It was sad. Turkeys cost almost as much as our monthly allowance here. So we settled for a rotisserie chicken, and made mashed potatoes, and an apple pie. But, our propane ran out again, and on top of that our oven doesn't work, so we cooked in the landlords house below ours. and we ended up eating lunch at like 5 in the afternoon. It was a long day of baking. but it was fun, and Hermana Argyle made a Thanksgiving ball that we passed around and said things we're thankful for. It was a good day, and it even kinda felt like Thanksgiving, especially because our pie was AMAZING! haha

Also, a family we've been working with for 4.5 months now is getting ready to get married, and the wife is going to get baptized, and after a really good lesson on Friday, they came to church on Sunday! yay! Which means that Maribel will be able to get baptized on the 20th! Iwas so happy to see them on Sunday I almost cried haha.
But anyway, it's been a long week, with lots of walking and crushed turkey hopes but a happy Sunday, so all is well that ends well.
I hope you all know that I love you, and that I think of you, and that I appreciate everything you do for me. So thank you! and happy late Thanksgiving!!!!!!!!

Week 53 ... and I'm in a Trio!!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh best p-day after a crazy week ever!!!!!!

Today we got to go and help clean the temple, and it was soooo fun. I feel so thankful for the opportunities God has given me here in Paraguay that I could never get in any other place. Like my companions, the temple (and its amazing artwork) and all the people who live here in Paraguay.

So you know how my comp was sick last week... well turns out she was too sick to stay in Paraguay so, they sent her home. and now my companion..s...... are Hermana Sanders, AND Hermana Argyle. were in a trio, and we have to visit all of our Ward now. So our area just got a lot bigger. So yea, it's been a bit of a struggle getting things with both áreas taken care of, but I'm having fun and were making it work. And it seems as if our hard work has payed off, because we had 18 less active members in church this sumday, and 3 investigators, so yay! we're working. I'm so glad to be able to go out and share with the people again. It feels like it's been a long time since I've been out and visiting people. Also, it's so cool to see how my companions teach, because I've only ever seen them in practices and in non lesson type occasions, but they teach really well and it's cool to see how their Spanish has improoved since I met them. it's so exciting to see progress!

It's been a crazy week for me. Monday I was with Hermana Puac, Tuesday she found out she was going home. Wednesday I had divisions with the sister leader trainers, Thursday I went to immigrations and the office and had to say good bye to Hermana Puac, and up until I got to the office on the way back from immigrations I still didn't know who my companion would be, and as we walked into the office, I found Hermana Sanders and Hermana Argyle, and the secretary told me they were my new companions until the end of the transfer. So until December 3rd I'll be in a trio. and I'm praying I get to train next transfer, since training takes two transfers, and I only have 3 left...... I NEED to train next transfer, haha, if thats what God has planned for me. But I'd be happy to stay in a trio too, because its been pretty fun with the three of us.

But anyway, I just want you all to know that I love you, I'm doing ok, and I'm happy. :))

I hope you all have a wonderful week.

Week 52 ....and one day

Well friends, family, I know I'm super late haha. Let's just say it's been a long week. and I was going to bring my journal, so I could share with you all something I wrote, but maybe it'll be more fun if you just see it in person.
Anyway, what happened is, my comp, hna. p, has been sick and last week we ended up in our house almost all week. on Wednesday I made a list, titled, "what to do when your bored as a missionary." and then my list contained things like :
1. do personal study.
2. do language study.
3. eat lunch alone.
4. check to see if your sleeping comp is still breathing.
5. be happy your comp is breathing.
6. wonder if you should wake her up.
7. say a prayer.
8. decide to let her sleep.
9. do laundry by hand.
10. hang up wet laundry.
And it continues haha there's like 75 items on my list, but you know, it's cool. I washed all my dirty clothes so that's good. and I got lots of other stuff done too. By staying in the house all week I've learned to really appreciate the opportunities I have to leave and work. So you know, all you able bodies people out there don't complain because you're tired from your jobs or your callings. Be thankful that God gave you the energy and the ability to do what you need to do. Work is a blessing. Also, a special note for my missionary friends, be thankful for every moment that the Lord has give us to be out in the mission field. Be thankful for the blessing of two legs, two arms, two hands, two eyes, a heart, a mind, and every thing else you need to be out there sharing the gospel.
Sadly, this Friday, we'll be sending my comp home to Guatemala, so she can have better medical attention in her home country and be relieved of the stress of being on the mission. But it's ok. She's going to be much better there, and she has lots more to do to help her family to get sealed and united for eternity. My only worry here is who will be my companion haha. and hope that I'll be able to stay here in Loma Pyta so I can help the people here, and see Cinthia be baptized.
Anyway, know that I love you all, and that I'm praying for you, and I'll be back to normal with my new comp next Monday. :))

Here's a pic from last week when they went to the Chinese restaurant, thanks to Hermana Sander's Awesome Mom!

Week 51.... kinda like Area 51, its hard to believe its real

Well, it’s week 51. haha and well it’s been a good week. We helped Cinthia move in to live with Nenii, and now they can go to church together, and they can keep each other company and ahhhh I’m so happy haha. Hermana Welch and I had the idea a long time ago, but we decided to maybe give them to hint super sneaky subtle and see if they figure it out on their own. so we told Cinthia maybe she could find a place that would be better for her to live than were she was, and we told Nenii she should see if she could find somebody to stay with her in her house so she wouldn’t be so lonely. And just about a month later boom! Nenii invited Cinthia to live with her for only 100,000 Guaranies a months, which is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy cheap. So it’s a miracle! Yay! And all the sisters at church are in love with her baby, which makes sense, cuz he’s adorable, and he’s super happy if he’s being held. Sad though cuz I can’t hold him. :/ but it’s cool, cuz Nenii can and all the other sisters at church. So fellowshipping through mothering tips! Yay!
Today we went to a soccer museum and it was super cool. It had a bunch of trophies from like way back to 1902. It was cool. And pictures and videos from old soccer games. And we watched a video inside of a giant soccer ball about the history of soccer in South America. It was cool. We almost got locked inside. Which would have been crazy, but it’s cool. We made it out before they locked up.
Also, it must have been pretty hot today, because we all 4 got super sun burnt today haha. It feels nice to be crispy again. It reminds me of like 3 years ago when I went on a whale watching / fishing boat ride, and got one very burnt arm. I’m burnt like that, but all over haha,. it’s great. Imma be so brown tomorrow. Yea! Becoming more Hawaiian and more Latin all at the same time. weeeee haha
This Sunday was nice too, because a brother spoke about the authority of God, and how God always calls prophets and apostles, and gives them the power and authority to act in His name through the priesthood, and then he started talking about how that authority is what’s used to heal the sick and afflicted, and I was sitting next to Cinthia, and she remembered, and recognized that it was that power that healed her when the elders came to give her a blessing like 3 months ago, it was so cool. She remembered and she keeps saying she wants to get baptized so I know she will and its gunna be a wonderful day. I’m just so glad I get to know her, and help introduce her to the blessings of the Gospel. I wish I could bring her home with me haha.
But anyway, that’s what’s been going on here in Paraguay, and lots of rain and then lots of sun. So you know, just the normalness of Paraguayan summer, no big deal.
I love you guys! I hope you have a good week!

Week 50 ish

Can't believe it's November! Time is flying by sooooo fast! and it seems as if the mission makes it go even faster. I just keep praying that my whole life doesn't fly by. I'd like some time to stop and smell the roses haha. But really, why does life have to go by so fast? It feels like yesterday when I met Kylee in 8th grade and that was 2006! It's been a few years. but you know, I'm always comenting on the time haha. It's just so crazy to me that it can pass so quickly without even noticing.

This week has been fairly unexciting, although there have been some pretty big storms, so when we got to Nenii´s house on Saturday her whole yard was under water. So we got to work and dumped water in a tube and soda bottle contraption to pump the water to the road and down the drain. so for about and hour or so we scooped and dumped water while we sang hymns. It was fun. My feet got nice and wet. The weather has actually been really nice lately, except for the flooding of people's houses. But it feels like winter in Hawaii so I was pretty happy. haha And now my legs are super sore and my arms are tired haha. Yesterday I could hardly even stand up or bend down to pick something up - haha - because my legs hurt so much. But it's ok, cuz it was really fun scooping water.

Today is Hermana Argyle's birthday, so we went to eat Chinese food, and we decorated her desk and wall with stickers that we made that say "felicidades" and "feliz cumpleaños Hna. Argyle" and stuck them to her desk with a bunch of balloons. It was fun.
Also, its been pretty sunny lately, so my watch tan is as you say in Guarani, "purete" or in other words, totes legit. So you know when I'm not lazy, I'll send a picture of that - haha.
Also, basically a miracle happened, and Nenii all on her own invited Cinthia to live with her, which was what Hermana Welch and I had thought of on our own when Nenii was sad and wanted company, and Cinthia needed to find a place to live. so it's basically perfect, and were gunna help Cinthia move in on Thursday.
Other than that, everything is all normal, so you know, all is well in Paraguay. and until next week, I hope you are all well and fine and know that I love each of you!

Week 49 (She's lost track .... )

Week 50?  49?
The truth is, I lost count of the weeks haha, so you know, just an estimate of 49ish weeks haha.

Anyway, so big news! or sad news.... We had transfers! Hermana Speirs went home! Sad! because I love her to death, but it's good because she was an amazing missionary and I was blessed to know her, and now she's off to go help people in Oregon with her family. :)) Also, Hermana Argyle stayed here in Loma with me, and her new comp is Hermana Sanders who came with me ! Yay fun! and now.... my changes...... I stayed in Loma, and my companion is Hermana Puac, from Guatemala. She actually lives within Hermana Valeriano's (CJ's) mission. So who knows, she might end up in her ward one day. :)

Also, we've been living much better in the heat this week. I started freezing water bottles, so I have ice water when I get home. and it's come in handy, because our ac broke, so I sleep with a frozen water bottle to keep me cool. I've decided that being sweaty before you even get up in the morning is the worst. You should all pray that we can get our ac fixed this week, because I'm gunna melt if not. or become mosquito food haha. Let's just say you can't really sleep with your windows open without getting eaten alive..... 12+ bug bites on my arms alone is not my favorite activity of the day ha ha And then who knows how many on my legs? But thankfully my bug bites don't scar too bad, so when they go away, I'll start looking normal again, haha but anyway.

Also, Hermana Owen went home this week, and her parents came to see her areas and to take her home, so I met her parents, and died like 5 times saying good bye to her too. But it's ok, because she lives in Arizona so im sure to see her again one day haha.

Today we went to our zone activity, and had lunch with all of the elders who work in the office (my zone includes all office elders, and the assistants and the mission president.) and I was sitting there thinking about how we are literally from all over the world, and we have lives completely different, and so many things that are different about us, but by being here called of God in Paraguay, we've all become friends, and we can get together, and make jokes, and play games and be happy.  Because we really are all friends, but not just friends, we're family. brothers and sisters here on this earth, and I get to know all of these people who I would never have met otherwise because I'm here in Paraguay today. It was nice to look at that. and even if I go through days where I miss home and want to get on with my life, being here has blessed me with so much love and support, and so many friends, I don't even know where to start.

But anyway, I just want you all to know that I appreciate all your love and support, and your prayers for me. Thanks for all your emails and letters for me too. They really do make a difference.

So thanks! I love you all!

Week 48

Well I see it's been flipped, with all the crazy things that have been going on in the US, like my brother and sister-in-law going to the temple, like my cousin getting engaged, like a hurricane going over Oahu, its only right that we should get sick and stay home all weekend - haha.

And that's exactly what happened. I had a fever, and couldn't bear to be out in the heat, which was 115 for like 3 days straight. So Thursday we had to stay home and I slept on the tile floor because it was wayyyyyyy too hot to even touch the sheets on my bed. And then Friday morning, my comp did something weird to her back, and she couldn't walk for 2 days, so we stayed home again on Friday and Saturday. and then on Sunday she was good until after church and 2 lessons, so we went home and stayed home again. But thankfully today were doing a lot better, and its not so hot. So if all stays well we will be back to normal hopefully very soon.

It's worked out kinda well for me though, being stuck at home, because I'm pretty sure I'm cured of heat stroke, and I was able to write several letters, and I decorated my new agenda for the next transfer. Which reminds me my trainer, Hermana Speirs goes home this week. :((((( I'm gunna miss her a lot! But its ok. because we'll probably all find each other in Utah one day - haha. But anyway, it hasn't been the most exciting week, since we've been in the house literally half the week, but anyway, I love you guys and I'll be praying that all will be protected from the hurricane. :)

les amo!

Week 47!!!!!! ONE YEAR!!!!!!!

well it has come! the day in which I begin repeated days in the mission, yep that's right ... the year mark! It's been a crazy week let me just tell you all.

So basically just random nothing but for smiles miracles happened.
For example butterflies. So it's now officially Spring time here, and in the Spring time, there are TONS of butterflies, and last week Friday ish we were talking to a sister in our ward, and in her scriptures she had a butterfly taped in that she found dead like 15ish years ago. So after that we were like wow! We want to find butterflies for our scriptures to! So you know being hopeful I'd hopelessly follow butterflies haha. BUT! Wednesday ish, we were just walking when we literally almost stepped on this orange butterfly. So we picked it up, and took it with us to all of our lessons. and we were like wow! What a cool thing! Then we each took one wing and put it in plastic so that we can save them forever. But this isn't the only butterfly.
This is the crazy one. So, like forever ago, when I was home, I had a game on my phone and it was called butterflies or something along those lines. Anyway, you have a garden and you grow butterflies. and in the game it had a butterfly that was big and black and had green triangles on it. and I always thought it was so cool. So anyway, I get here to Loma, and guess what I see flying around everywhere! They're called Raja Brokeback butterflies or something, anyway, they're super cool, and they are real!
So anyway, remember how we found the orange butterfly the other day right? Well yesterday on our way to church we just so happened to walk down a street we almost never go down and guess what we found just sitting there on the sidewalk? the black butterfly I've been wanting to catch for 3 months now!!!!!!!!!!!! It was crazy! and it was funny, because I'd said that would think it'd be soo cool if we could find one of those butterflies so when we found this specific butterfly just there, waiting for us on our path my companion looked at me and was like "did you fast for this?" haha no. I didn't fast that we would find a butterfly, but it was a very nice present from Heavenly Father haha.

This is Josue in a mango tree. A GIANT mango tree, at the very tippy top

Other than that, it's been an ok week. we took pictures with Cinthia, so now you guys can see her and her baby. :)) and then I defrosted the freezer, but not before I made a snow man out or the frost on the top of it haha. and the Hermanas made me jello and sang to me for my one year mark. and it was cute. Then I took a really long time to think of a wish haha and now I'm not sure what I wished for, but it could have been that we find that butterfly, although it was probably something more useful haha. Also, I ran into Hermana Owen today in the office, which was cool. I was soo happy to see her, I kept hugging her and I couldn't stop smiling. She's so amazing. and she goes home next week too. Sad days so many wonderful sister go home this transfer. I also ran into Hermana Seaman, who 9ish months ago I called because she was a little frustrated with the language, and now today I finally got to meet her. I feel like Alma the younger and the sons of Mosiah, who after years of serving amongst the Lamanites were reunited in joy and love for their brethren. I was so happy to see all the Hermanas in the office today. It was a good day and quite fun.

Week 46? (46 in Paraguay/52 since leaving)

Well it's as if we're just 4 steps from the top of the mountain peak, or... 4 days from my year mark!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yep, it's come, I've been in South America almost officially a whole year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!! and as always celebrating big events, like 6 months and year marks with General Conference. Only my two favorite days ever! It's been fun!

Last monday we downloaded the General Women's Conference, and listened in our room, and then we went to the chapel for saturday and sunday sessions. We didn't get much work done, but we did have some conference miracles.  To start, when we got there on Saturday we didn't have any members, or a projector, or any sound or ANYTHING. So, being missionaries that we are we said a prayer, and literally right after the prayer ended an elder from here had an idea to turn on the sound, and bam! We had sound! And then before the first person began his talk the brother with the projector came and bom! we could watch all of conference! yay!!!!!!!!!

And then, yesterday, we (the English speakers) wanted to listen in English, so, we began asking around trying to arrange it, but the room they usually use, which has the cable for English was full of construction stuff, so basically it looked like the garage at home for me haha.  And I was all for organizing so we could hear in English. but the rest of the group didn't seam quite so excited, so we didn't move the stuff to watch in there. Defeated I went to sit at my desk, but then my lovely comp went and talked to the elders and they said we could watch on the computer in the secretary´s office, so.... my comp, Hermana Speirs, Hermana Argyle and I went to the office and watched in a tiny room. But the problems didn't end there. With just 5 minutes until the last session started it was lagging and slow, so we being the missionaries said another prayer, and then several elders showed up to watch with us too, and it didn't glitch once, and we finally got to hear the prophet's voice!
It was such a blessing to be able to hear him speak and to learn from our prophet, and to feel the spirit there. After conference I left feeling renewed and happy.
I know that we have a prophet today, who is called of God and holds his Holy authority, and we have been immensely blessed to live in a day and time in the which we will all be able to hear him speak and receive guidance from his words.

Beautiful Video

Week 45!!

Well, it's been a whole week. again! crazy.
I'll just start by saying that while I am sitting here writing to you all, there is a young boy who is probably about 12 singing Baby by Justin Beiber for all to hear. It's very funny.
It's been a rather uneventful week to be honest. We did have a lot of people in church that we have been teaching, so that's exciting, and we're super excited to be able to go to General Conference next week. It's gunna be amazing! We're hoping that a mom and daughter family of 2 that we are teaching gets the chance to come this weekend to listen and learn from our living prophet. We just know that it'll help them so much to find an answer and decide to be baptized. So just keep them in your prayers.
Well like I said, not much has happened here lately, so you know, stay safe, keep praying, and know that I love all of you!!!!!!!!!!

Week 44

So first thing, before I forget. Today we went to the office to see the nurse, to get some allergy meds, and on the way home we were peacefully riding in the city bus. But! while on the bus we drove by a house, and well long story short, our bus hit a dog and ran right over it. It was horrible. WELCOME TO PARAGUAY!!!

Yep, now that I got that out, I have other news, Cinthia, our pregnant investigator, HAD HER BABY!!! and we didn't even have to witness the birth! We're soooo excited, so now all he have to do is get her married and she can get baptized! yay!
Also, we have a mom and her daughter who we've been teaching for about 3 weeks now, and they have been going every week to church and are progressing and awesome and it's super exciting! This week they come to church and without calling or texting us went straight to their classes and started participating. soooooooo awesome! We're excited! haha.
So, yea. its been a good week nothing too crazy. We're also getting REALLY EXCITED about conference to come up again! just 2 weeks away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yea! We LOVE conference. it's the best. I hope you guys are getting excited too, because conference is like the modern day version of when king Benjamin built a big tower and spoke to all his people and had his words written so that all of his people could hear and read the words of the prophet. prophets are the best! Needless to say I'm looking forward to conference. It's fun.

I also have a confession to make .....  haha
I think I might have an addiction to fruit loops. haha I've bought them consecutively every week for like 2 months. :)) They're just so yummy. haha

Well anyway, this is all I have to say for this week. I hope you all have a lovely week, and remember that I love you!

Monday, September 22, 2014

Week 43!!!

So I know you all want to know................. and well the verdict is..... I don't have transfers, and neither do any of the Hermanas in my house, so we continue the fiesta! haha.

I'm doing good this week. just doing my best to make sure I know where people live and who they are, so next time transfers come up I won't get lost haha. Hermana W is going to have been here for 6 months, so I'm pretty sure shes going to leave me in October. ahhhh. haha

This week we learned how to make chipa, so Imma send all yalls some pictures of our creations. It was super fun. We got our hands pretty dirty too :)) I also made 11 months in the mission, so you know..... just one month until my year mark!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe how fast time is going by.

Week 42! The answer to life, the universe and everything.....

Ha ha for those who don't get it, "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" it's fun you should read it.

Anyway, being my 42nd week perhaps I will find the answer, or have a major break through or something. haha  I did figure out how to braid all of your hair in a circle that circles your head in a way that does not require hair ties or bobbie pins, so you know, I'm basically a genius. Haha but other than that nothing to breakthrough-ish has happened.

It's been a good week though, our investigator made it out of the hospital and to church this Sunday. It was great. she walked in with her book of Mormon grasped tight in her arms and she's just the cutest little thing ever! We're really excited for her to be able to get baptized. Sadly though, she's in the hospital again, and she thinks she'll probably be in until she has the baby. But thankfully she made it to 8 months and she still hasn't had him so Heavenly Father is definitely helping her. We think she will probably get baptized next month, after the baby is born, which is probably better for her anyway, but yea. we're excited.

Oh! also, a few weeks ago, we were gifted a box of cigarettes from a less active member, and the other day we finally got rid of them. It was fun. We took lots of pictures and videos, so one day you can all see the videos of my mission haha.

But yea, it's been fun. and it's been a good week. Also, its been 6 weeks here in Loma, so there's the possibility of transfers, but, we wont know until tomorrow around noon, so you wont know until next week if I have changes. Lame I know. I'm sorry, but its ok, it's probably more productive that way.

Anyway, I love you all, and thank you for all your help and support! :))
