Week 27 and the Time Keeps Passing

Well well well, we meet again.. and this time we meet in fingerless gloves and long sleeves with thermal underwear and tights because good grief I'm COLD! haha

This week we've been in the 50s and its getting colder! wee! Right now it feels like Winter in somewhere colder than Hawaii but warmer than Maine, although I could be confused. It might be about what it was in Maine before it started snowing. But anyway, it's nice and chilly and I love it. It's been super cold in our house lately, and thanks to the rain on Sunday we had less than a third of our normal attendance in church. But its ok, and you know why? Because one of the families from our last area (the other side of the ward) came, in the rain and the cold, and they were less active when we got here 4 months ago. So you know, not everybody was there but at least some of them were and it was enough for me.

It's been a fun week, freezing our tails off, and surprisingly still getting invited in to share with people. We also had a really good lesson with our alien believing friend haha, and he is super excited to read the Book of Mormon. He also knows how to fix shoes, which is good, because the sole to my rain boots is coming off. So that's fun.

Unfortunately, thanks to the rain I've been too afraid to bring my camera out, so I don't have any pictures for you this week, but I will be sending pictures of us all dressed up for the war against the cold within the next few weeks. But anyway, I love you all and am so thankful that I have so much support from all you lovely people!

Week 26!!

Hello and welcome to Capiatá........ just kidding were still in Capiatá.

So it's been another week and I realize that even when we feel frustrated and crazy, worried, stressed, happy, excited, nervous or whatever, in the mission the time just flies by. Literally flies by. It's super crazy how fast the time goes and how many things you can do in one week.

This week I've been working on writing in my journal more, because there are some things that I just can't take a picture of.  Like the city buses so full we have to stand in the doors, or when we teach people about the Book of Mormon and they "confess" to us that they are convinced that Jesus is an alien who came to earth and enlightened man and that they know because they have mythology books and they say he was an alien....

Sometimes I wonder if anybody is actually sane haha. But it's good. We have fun and we laugh a lot when we look back and realize some of the crazy things that go on.

The other day we had an investigator bring out his book of mythology and tell us that some crop circles were evidence that God and Jesus are aliens. Haha fun stuff.

The photos are from a Pday activity, hiking Cerro Koi, in Aregua, it has "rare rock formations".

Happy Mother's Day (Week 25)

We were able to Skype with Hermana Minks on Mother's Day!  It was awesome!

She managed to arrange a Mother's Day gift for me all the way from Paraguay!  I love it!  How does she know my heart is in Paraguay?

"So its been 2 weeks, sorry I'm getting lazy haha.

To all my mom friends out there, HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!! I love all of you! and you all know who you are.

We've had a good week, staying here in Piro y with Hermana B. for a third transfer. We changed areas a little, but still in the same ward. I guess I have to get to know the whole ward before I leave here haha.

Last week we had my 4th baptism so that was exciting! Somebody we've been teaching since we got here 6 weeks ago, and he had been receiving the missionaries for 6 months or more, so it was cool to see him finally get baptized, and he was so excited to get under the water he couldn't hold still he kept trying to go down all on his own haha.

Other fun news, my companion got bit by a cat this Friday, and we have to go back this week to make she it doesn't have rabies haha. Yep fun stuff!

Other fun news, my companion is literally always hungry haha.

Other other fun news I'm never hungry. haha

But yea, I hope you all have a wonderful week and are safe and happy in the magical land of where ever you are!

Hermana Minks"

Here are some recent pics.  We may all have to wait 11 months for the explanations .....

Peeling green bananas makes your hands brown.  She says when she gets home she will make some for all of us to try.

It's all her own air in that giant balloon!

Gira con el Élder Wilhelm

Photos are of her zone at a meeting with Elder Wilhelm on May 4, 2014.

Queridas Hermanas:

Presidente y Hermana McMullin
